Well, where do I begin?
To start, let me explain my process. When I write these books I add various comments throughout, highlighting bits I’m not happy with or just things that I should double-check.
This book was flooded with comments, more than any other book. The writing in this book became a mess as I started to write chapters out of order. I would be writing chapter 10 but then go back to add a new chapter between 3 and 4. Due to the number of events, I wanted them all to have the right amount of time. I didn’t want to feel rushed or slow, so it required a lot of changing and a lot of double-checking. I needed to constantly check with the previous books to make sure things weren’t breaking continuity.
I had a long list of events that I wanted to happen and was trying to tick them off as I did them, however it wasn’t always easy.
In this book, the Legion get ahold of both the angel and earth energy, and in the original plans, Oscar would be involved with the angel energy.
But then how does Oscar get involved with the Earth’s energy? The answer was that he wouldn’t. Originally, Oscar wasn’t going to be that involved, because I didn’t like that he got both the earth and angel energy, it all felt too rushed with little to fill out the gap in the middle.
So, in the final book, they get both energies at the same time, with Alex helping the angels.
On the topic of changed content, this book was going to feature the demon king. The almighty demon king was going to get involved once two of the energies were stolen, he was even going to talk to Fi at one point, warning her about Greth getting ahold of the angel’s power. Instead, Fi met up with some old friends who told her to reunite with the person she loved most. Fi didn’t have much to do with this book, but that’s ok. Originally, she was going to be too involved, and I felt like it was time for some other people to shine.
This book was a massive puzzle, with tons of events happening at once and many events needed. It was hard to decide what should be first, what would happen when and how. I have tons of messy notes with random ideas thrown about and even a timeline just to try and help me understand it when I was writing. In fact, that very timeline is at the end of the book.
As always, let’s talk about inspiration as this time we have 1 dream that inspired this book.
That dream featured me on a roller coaster in a strange large open field, climbing up, waiting for the drop as signs along the side warned me that I shouldn’t trust someone. This became the inspiration for the angel’s worlds. I knew in the dream I wasn’t on earth, and believed that there were angels in the dream, so that was that.
I really enjoyed writing this book. A large amount of it was written as I went, meaning it wasn’t as planned out as it should have been.
But also, sadly there isn’t much I remember about writing it. I wrote this book back in August 2021, around 11 months ago at the time of writing this.
So that’s all I’ve got to say on it. I can’t remember much else. As always, if you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer them, just leave them below.
Thanks for reading, as always my links are below. I’ll be posting a lot slower from now on as I start to figure out what I’ll be doing with my life, but I hope to return to Twitch and continue streaming there.
Once again, thanks for reading.
