No.
To answer the question.
No.
To quote ABBA:
“I’m not the same this time around”
Every year, everyone changes.
We are not the people we were yesterday.
You have learnt and you have understood.
The people you are remembering is a version of you that no longer exists.
The you of the present is a unique person that did not exist years ago.
But, the modern person can only exist with acknowledgement of the past.
If you cannot accept your past, you cannot move on.
You are a different person from the past, but only if you understand your past.
I am not the person I once was, because I own my mistakes. I understand the mistakes I made.
If I met me 10 years ago, I’d punch him.
I’d hate him.
He would annoy me.
The me I am today would question him and argue with him.
Why was he like this?
Why did he say that?
Why are you acting that way?
That was me.
That is no longer me.
I am not him.
He is not me.
If you knew me, you no longer do.
I can say, with confidence, I am not the person you knew.
I am happy to say that you do not know me.
Because the person you knew isn’t me.
I am happier knowing that I am not him.
I am not him, and you are not what I know.
We all change, and if we don’t we are failing.
If you are not learning, you are failing.
Learn and understand.
Learn and acknowledge.
Understand your mistakes.
Acknowledge your mistakes.
Don’t be the person you were before.
Be better.
