Talent is valued highly. In everything, talent stands you out amongst the crowd.
In sports, the talented ones win or get scouted. In music, the talented ones get noticed. In writing, the same is true.
This also applies to life.
There is a talent involved in living, some people have it and most people don’t. It’s not a clear talent that is given a set definition. Talent in life is different for everything. It can be broken down into every single aspect of living.
But what I want to talk about is a desire to possess talent. Some would say that talent will come naturally, others say it is earned through hard work. It doesn’t matter what type of talent we talk about, as most people would desire talent in any form.
Talent helps you stand out in the crowd. It can help you feel better and more accomplished, but it can also hurt you.
If you possess talent, you also possess an ego. That is to say, everyone possesses an ego. It’s that those with talent often have a harder time controlling it. As spotlights shine on them, it’s easy to lose their head. It’s easy to see themselves as greater than others.
But someone with talent is no different to someone wanting talent.
The desire to have talent is frustrating. It doesn’t come easy.
Most people will struggle to achieve the talent they want. Some will never achieve it.
It’s about how you deal with that realisation that makes you talented or not.
It takes talent to want to change your life. It takes courage to want to get talent.
Regardless of how you define it, talent is someone everyone possesses in some form.
Talent is something most people want more of, unaware they already have enough.
No one needs to be perfect.
It’s hard to understand that.
Some people are blinded by their goals and will do what they can to achieve them.
There is nothing wrong with that, but there is also talent in giving up.
