A lot of people like to look back on the previous year and think about their favourite things about it. That’s what I’ll be doing. I’ll be talking about some of my favourite things that came out of 2020, as well as the usual rubbish that pops into my head.
I’ll be talking about my favourite Song, Anime, Film, TV show, and Game. I’ll also throw in some honourable mentions.
But let’s just set some rules. Normally, I’d be strict and say it had to have come out in 2020, but this time I’m saying that the first time I saw/listened/played it must have been in 2020. There was a lot that didn’t come out this year due to delays, so I think this is fair.
Also, this is my opinion. You may disagree and that’s ok. Let me know your favourite of each of these categories in the comments.
Favourite Song
Picking a favourite song is hard, I love all music equally. So I just want it to be known that this list could have been several marathons long, and I struggled so much with picking a song.
But instead, I’ll be saying a few groups or singers that were in my favourites this year, as well as some songs.

As I said, there is too much music to name.
Favourite Anime
Hunter X Hunter
I had always wanted to watch Hunter X Hunter to see what the hype was about. I remember I started reading the manga a few years ago but didn’t get very far. It wasn’t until I started watching the 100+ episode anime that I realised what I was missing. This show is amazing. The animation is something that beats tons of anime that came out today. I can’t explain what I loved about it because I don’t know, but what I do know is that it was so good that I finished it all in just under two weeks (something I struggle to do with 12 episode anime)
Honourable mentions: Overlord Season 2 & 3, Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru Kan, Re:Zero Season 2 part 1
Favourite Film
There was such a massive lack of films for me. I must have watched less than 10.
But, my favourite film of the year was easily Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl)
There are few films that hit me like this one did. Normally I can tell when I’m getting emotional and about to cry, but not during this film. The tears just fell out my eyes without me even knowing. Both the anime and the film are amazing and I highly recommend them.
Honourable Mentions: One Piece: Stampede, Konosuba Movie.
Favourite TV show
Community
I only started watching Community once I noticed it on the UK Netflix. I had a small idea about it and knew that my brother had watched it. So I gave it ago, and I finished it before I could realise.
Each episode is hilarious and so original. To me, it felt amazing. I couldn’t believe what I was watching. It’s another one that I can’t explain, but part of me believes that the characters are what makes the show what it is. They are all so likeable in their own ways. I highly recommend Community to anyone.
Honourable mentions: Task Master Season 10
Favourite Game
Colony Survival.
An early access game that’s been out for a few years. I knew that I’d spend many hours in it, and I have. It’s the game I stream most (at the moment), and also play the most when not streaming. It’s too much fun for me to put down. As someone who is a big fan of simulation type games, Colony Survival was obviously going to be great.
That’s all for these. 2020 was a shit year for a lot of industries. A lot got delayed and a lot happened.
As I said, this is all my opinion so you can disagree.

From now on, we’ll be going back to the inconsistent posting. I tried to do once a week and succeeded (for the most part), but sadly, I’m getting a bit busier again (and also running out of ideas). So I’ll be back whenever I’m back.
