For those that do not know, The Four Guardians is a web novel that I wrote. Recently it was announced at the end of the last chapter that it would go on indefinite hiatus. So I shall explain this.

This is explaining my reasoning about it all so no one is going to force you to read this if you haven’t read the web novel.
So, why the indefinite hiatus? It’s not something that can easily be explained. I’d say the main reason is mainly that I was unprepared. I wanted it to end this way, with Ren rewriting the world and then go into a season 2. However, that probably won’t happen. It’s not that I’m ill and can’t write or I am too busy. It’s that I’m not happy with it. The reason why The Four Guardians had so many breaks was that I wasn’t happy with it. I wanted to explore the world more but ended up backing myself into a corner with the main villains. I wanted more side stuff but found myself really not enjoying writing.
I can’t say what I don’t like about it because I don’t know. I feel like it’s partly to blame with the characters and how I wrote them as well as how I handled the story progression.
To answer the question, will it return? I can’t say. If it does, it will carry on from where it left off in the new history. Although I did have plans for it and things would be different. I kinda transferred all my good ideas to my other web novel, The story of the hero named Fishy.
I personally prefer writing that one over The Four Guardians and you probably noticed a decline in quality as the last few chapters came out for The Four Guardians.
I’m sorry for the sudden announcement about it and I’m sorry if you were looking forward to reading it but ultimately it comes down to my decision. And since I’m doing this as a hobby, I don’t really feel as if I want to continue it at this very moment.
