To think it’s been a year. The first post on this blog was a year ago today. Time has flown past. I had no idea that a year was so soon. I don’t even remember creating the blog. But enough about that. I’ll talk about something else.
The problem is, I don’t know what to talk about. I could talk about the stories on this blog but that’s been said many times already. So I guess I’ll talk about the creation of this place.
To start, I made this blog in my second year of university (I’m in my third year as of releasing this) and it was made alongside another blog that I wrote for. As mentioned in the update post a few weeks ago, I’m stepping back from that blog a bit and moving to this one. This blog was always going to be a place for stories. I wanted to post the stories on the other one but thought that weekly series’ would get in the way of other people posting things.
I made this blog as a place to house them but I started exploring actual web novel sites and decided to post on them instead. I had no reason to come back to this blog as I had moved everything to some other place. And the rest is as you know it, back on this blog again.
So, what can be expected within the next year? I don’t know. Reviews? General thoughts? Random gibberish? Maybe some short stories? It really could be anything. I don’t have much planned except for the usual anime reviews that I did on the other place but back to this blog.
Within the year I posted around 55 posts (I think). Some of them were short stories and others were chapter based. Reading them back, my favourite one is still Train Journey. It was the first one I wrote but not the first one to be published. I don’t remember the inspiration for it, I just kinda wrote it. It did have several revisions (which is why it wasn’t first).
I don’t remember the inspiration for a lot of the short stories. I think The Outside World was similar to a dream I had. I did enjoy writing that one. I think it could be good if it was further developed into several chapters but who knows.
Anyway, thank you all for sticking with me for a year. It’s going to be a busy year as I’ll (hopefully) be graduating university in September with the grades I want. Who knows what the future has in store.
Thanks for reading.
