Well here is a post I thought I would never have to make.
I’m not going to delay it and I’ll just announce it first and explain why after.
My weekly Web Novel Gang Wars that I was uploading here is sadly being cancelled. There are multiple reasons for this and during the time it was on break I had been thinking about this seriously. I have decided to cancel Gang Wars.
Firstly, I’d like to apologise to those that were looking forward to Gang Wars’ return. I didn’t want to have to cancel it but I think it’s for the best.
There are multiple reasons why I wanted to stop releasing new chapters but it mainly comes down to two major things.
- I’m not happy with it. I’m not satisfied with how it turned out, I think the story is a mess and my writing is not good enough for it to be improved. This one is all my fault as I’m only a novice and I wanted to write something out of my comfort zone. I want to try and do more action-based stories in the future but sadly, ‘Gang Wars’ isn’t where it will be.
- Gang Wars’ Chapters require a lot out of me to write, and if I don’t enjoy writing it then It’s just going to affect my writing or me personally. The reason as to why I can keep Continuous School going is because I enjoy it a lot more. Even if I’m not happy with some of the chapter’s I’m still enjoying it.
Since I’m about to go into my final year at university I’m not sure I can even keep Continuous School going on a constant schedule. I try and put a lot of work into each chapter of Gang Wars, a lot more than one chapter of Continuous School, but no matter how much time I spent on it I can’t seem to be able to justify keeping it going
There are some ideas that I’ve got as to how I would do Gang Wars again in the future, but at the moment I have no idea if that will happen; so don’t get your hopes up.
I’m going to keep practising and learning about new ways to improve and hopefully learn from this.
I’m sorry I have to cancel Gang Wars. Next week I will post chapter 6 of Gang Wars as I already have it written but after that, it sadly won’t return. I will have another update a few weeks from now explaining the schedule changes that will take place to the blog.
